A senior official in the Israeli Prime Ministry said on Thursday that the Foreign Ministry in Tel Aviv signed a cooperation agreement with Jordan to employ 500 Jordanian workers in the southern city of Eilat.
"The new agreement will raise the number of Jordanian workers in Eilat to 2,000," said Ofir Gendelman.
He added that this step supports economic cooperation between the two sides and represents peace as well as encourages relations between Jordan and Israel.
