His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Sunday, March 10, 2019, a thank-you letter from the heads of Arab parliaments and councils, heads of delegations and participants in the 29th conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (APU), which was recently hosted by Jordan under the theme "Jerusalem is the Eternal Capital of Palestine."

In the letter, Arab parliaments and councils praised His Majesty's support to the Palestinian cause and his keenness to find a fair solution that guarantees the Palestinians' legitimate rights to establish their independent state on their national soil with East Jerusalem as its capital.

They also affirmed the APU's support for the efforts of the Hashemite Custodianship over the Islamic and Christian holy places in Jerusalem, and their rejection of any prejudice to the legal and historical status in the holy city.
