Experts in the tourism sector said Saturday that lifting COVID-19 restrictions, such as reducing the night curfew hours in most of the governorates and canceling it in Aqaba, reopening sectors and allowing tourist facilities to operate at 100 percent capacity, contributed to the recovery of the domestic tourism.
According to these experts, the tourism sector witnessed high demand on tourist trips during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
The head of the temporary committee of the Association of Tourism and Travel Offices Nizar Istitieh said in a press statement that the demand of citizens for domestic tourism trips continues to rise, expecting that reservations will rise during the Eid period and in the coming days following the end of Tawjihi exams.
He explained that many tourism companies have launched programs and offers for domestic tourism during the Eid period.
