Saturday, the Ministry of Interior announced that the number of people allowed to enter the Kingdom through the King Hussein Bridge will be increased to 2,000 people per day, up from 1,500.

The new decision will take effect starting Sunday.

According to a press statement issued by the ministry, the number of those who obtained the vaccination certificate issued by the Palestinian National Authority will be also increased to 1,000 people per day instead of 500.

Notably, the Bridges Security Department of the Public Security Directorate (PSD) had previously announced that those who have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate issued by the Jordanian Ministry of Health, can enter the Kingdom through the King Hussein Bridge without registering on the online platform.

However, those wishing to enter the Kingdom must bring a negative PCR test certificate that has been conducted 72 hours prior to arrival. The PCR test must be issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
