The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the provocative practices carried out by Israeli Occupation settlers in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem.

In a statement issued on Monday, the official spokesperson for the ministry Haitham Abu Al-Foul confirmed that displacing the residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem is a violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

He stressed that the Israeli Occupation, as the occupying power in East Jerusalem, is obligated according to international law to protect the rights of Palestinians in their homes.

Abu Al-Foul said that the practices carried out by the Israeli Occupation, such as confiscating Palestinian lands, demolishing their homes, and deporting Palestinians from their homes, are illegal.
