British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said Saturday that providing Ukraine with "artillery, long-range weapons, armored vehicles, air defense" is critical to ensuring the country's victory, AFP reported.

During an appearance at the Munich Security Conference, Sunak added: "What we can also do is make sure we're training Ukraine on NATO standard equipment."

Opening the conference Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged allies to speed up their support, while European powers pledged to intensify their backing.

Stoltenberg will also warn that Russia's military operation has exposed the dangers of Europe's over-reliance on authoritarian regimes and should serve as a lesson.
