Prime Ministry announced Sunday that May 25 will be an official holiday in Jordan, in celebration of the country's Independence Day.
The holiday includes all ministries and official departments, public institutions, public universities, municipalities, joint service councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and government-owned companies.
The decision excluded ministries, official departments, and institutions whose nature of work requires otherwise.
May 25 falls on a Thursday.
