Knesset passes law to imprison Hamas supporters
The Israeli Occupation’s Parliament, the Knesset, passed a law stating anyone expressing support for Hamas and Palestinian resistance movements would be punished with imprisonment.
Under the new law, any individual publishing material in the media or on social media platforms expressing support for Hamas and Palestinian resistance movements could face up to one year of imprisonment.
The law applies to Palestinians in the West Bank, occupied Jerusalem, and the occupied 1948 territories, as reported by the Hebrew newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth."
