Gaza Mayor Yahya Al-Sarraj stated that the suffering in the Gaza Strip remains severe, warning of the spread of diseases due to a lack of sanitation resources amid the presence of unburied bodies.

In a press statement, Sarraj urged the delivery of fuel, as a limited number of trucks had reached the Strip.

He called on international institutions to provide assistance.

Sarraj expected the arrival of 200 trucks in northern Gaza Sunday, emphasizing that not even a liter of fuel had reached Gaza municipality.

"About 700,000 people in Gaza City and the northern Strip lack essential services," said Sarraj, urging the delivery of food, water, fuel and electricity.

He called on international institutions to deliver aid, especially fuel.

Sarraj stressed the urgent need to transport waste to the landfill in the eastern part of the city, pointing out that it is inaccessible.

According to Sarraj, Palestinians attempt to reach their homes in Tel Al-Hawa, but Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) deliberately fire and prevent them from returning and inspecting their homes.

He confirmed media blackouts and communication cuts, especially in northern Gaza, imposed by IOF.
