The Central Traffic Department emphasized that abrupt lane changes, both from the left to the right and vice versa, along with the unsystematic loading and unloading of passengers at tunnel and bridge entrances, are significant contributors to traffic jams and accidents.

Wednesday, the department told Amen FM that pedestrians crossing streets in areas with heavy traffic outside designated zones, pose a real risk of pedestrian accidents and can lead to serious implications.

The department further explained that there is an intensive and planned deployment of traffic officers since the early morning hours to ensure traffic flow and promptly remove any obstacles.

They urged everyone to adhere to traffic rules and regulations to prevent accidents.
