The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a warning about the ongoing impact on the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip due to the continued aggression by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF).

It added that a staggering increase in cases of diarrhea, especially among infants and children, and detected "very serious signals around acute jaundice syndrome" in Gaza.

In a statement posted on its official page, the WHO expressed concern over the resumption of hostilities, including intense shelling in Gaza.

It urged Tel Aviv to take all possible measures to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, per the laws of war.

The WHO added that "Gaza cannot afford to lose another hospital as health needs continue to rise (...) with more civilians in southern Gaza receiving immediate evacuation orders and being forced to move, more people are concentrated in smaller areas. Meanwhile, the remaining hospitals in those areas are operating without sufficient fuel, medicines, food, water, or protection for healthcare workers."
