The governor of Balqa, Feras Abu Qaoud, stated that the governorate, in collaboration with relevant authorities, will take necessary measures to put an end to the recurring disasters at the 'Salhoub descent.'

Abu Qaoud told Roya Wednesday that arrangements are underway with the Minister of Interior, Mazen Al-Faraya, regarding the road, where a fatal accident occurred Wednesday morning.

He noted that the presence of surveillance cameras at the descent causes fear among citizens when anticipated, resulting in fatal accidents.

Regarding the bus overturning accident that resulted in five deaths and dozens of injuries, Abu Qaoud clarified that civil defense teams worked on evacuating the fatalities and injuries to Jerash Governmental Hospital.

Some of those who were injured were transported to Ain Al-Basha Comprehensive Health Center.

Abu Qaoud emphasized that relevant authorities are currently at the accident site to determine its causes.
