Amid the continued impact of the cold air mass, and ongoing rainfall in various regions, some areas in the capital, Amman, experienced dense fog, causing significantly reduced visibility for drivers.

Roya TV cameras captured dense fog in several areas of Amman, such as (Airport Road - Mecca Street - Shabab Roundabout), and others, where the fog covered the roads almost entirely, resulting in poor visibility.

Earlier, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) and Jordan Meteorological Department had warned of the danger of reduced visibility and the risk of slipping on the roads.

Rae’d Al-Khattab, the director of the Meteorology Department, told "Roya" that the kingdom will remain under the influence of the remnants of the cold and humid air mass and added that foggy and cold weather will prevail in most areas, partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy, with occasional rain showers in the north and center of the kingdom, and limited parts of the eastern and southwestern regions. Gradually, until the afternoon hours, the chance of rain will diminish, and the winds will be westward, moderate, occasionally strengthening.

Al-Khattab stated that the weather will be foggy and cold overall during the night hours, with the appearance of some low-altitude clouds. The winds will be light southwesterly.

He urged drivers to exercise caution on foggy roads or areas amidst increased water levels due to rainfall.

As for Monday’s weather, there will be an increase in temperatures during the daytime, with relatively cold weather in most areas and warm conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Some low-altitude clouds will appear, and the winds will be light southeast. Monday night, the weather will be cold in most areas, relatively cold in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with light southeast winds.
