The cabinet of the Israeli Occupation's political and security affairs, approved the transfer of tax funds to the Palestinian Authority.

The funds designated for Gaza will be deposited with Norway, acting as a third-party intermediary, as reported by the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Finance, Tel Aviv is supposed to transfer the monthly amount of the due tax to the Palestinian Authority, which is approximately EUR 150 million (JD 115.77 million).

The ministry confirmed that these amounts have not been transferred since October. The Minister of Finance in the Israeli Occupation government, Bezalel Smotrich, opposed transferring the Palestinian tax funds to the Palestinian Authority, as reported in January of last year.

Israeli Occupation officials in Tel Aviv mentioned that they did not wish to transfer the funds allocated for services and salaries in the Gaza Strip to the Palestinian Authority.

Additionally, Tel Aviv revoked 130,000 work permits from Palestinians in the West Bank, which is inhabited by approximately 3 million people, after October 7, according to AFP.

Tel Aviv announced its intention to deduct a percentage of these amounts, which the Palestinian Authority had designated for its work in the Gaza Strip. However, the Palestinian Authority rejected these deductions, leading to the suspension of fund transfers, accumulating to approximately EUR 450 million (JD 347.31 million).
