A reliable source has disclosed details about the injury of Musa Al-Taamari, the star player for both Jordan's national team and the French club Montpellier.
Al-Taamari is suffering from a shoulder injury which will keep him off the field for around a month and a half, according to sports journalist Ahmad Mallah.
Al-Taamari played a pivotal role in the national team's journey to securing the runner-up position in the Asian Cup, despite the final loss against Qatar at the Lusail Stadium last Saturday. This achievement, reaching the final and becoming Asian Cup runners-up, stands as an unprecedented milestone in Jordanian football history.
Al-Taamari and his teammates performed exceptionally well throughout the tournament, coming tantalizingly close to clinching the title.
In the latest FIFA rankings released on February 15th, the Jordanian national team, known as Al Nashama, has surged ahead by 17 places globally, landing in 70th place overall and 10th in Asia. Meanwhile, the Japanese national team maintains its top position in Asia.
This progress for the national team follows their securing of the second-place position in the 2023 Asian Cup, recently held in Qatar.
