The Central Traffic Department has disclosed the cause behind a tragic traffic incident resulting in the fatalities of two young individuals and injuring another in Madaba Governorate on Friday evening.

The Traffic Department's statement on Public Security Radio said that the accident stemmed from speeding beyond the designated limit, prompting an abrupt lane change and subsequent collision with a tree. The incident occurred over the weekend and caused fatalities and serious injury in Madaba.

The incident unfolded on Friday evening specifically on the route connecting Lab, Malih, and Madaba, according to Roya's correspondent.

The area where the accident transpired is known locally as the "Road of Death," highlighting a history of frequent accidents along that stretch.
