The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) stated that Civil Defense teams managed to rescue seven from a fire that broke out in an apartment in Aqaba.

He added that the Aqaba Civil Defense Directorate, supported by the Police Directorate, dealt with a fire that broke out inside a residential apartment on the third floor of a four-story building in the Fifth District of Aqaba today.

He added that the quick response, which took only a few minutes, played a significant role in rescuing the individuals and getting them out of the fire and the rising smoke.

Civil Defense personnel, upon entering to rescue those trapped in the house, provided them with oxygen from their own oxygen cylinders until they were able to evacuate them from the apartment, according to the statement.

Firefighting and ambulance teams evacuated those affected by the fire, providing them with first aid before transporting them to the hospital for further observation. The fire was completely extinguished, contained, and prevented from spreading to neighboring apartments, and investigations have begun.
