A cold and moist air mass is affecting Jordan today, Friday, leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures and cold weather prevailing in most areas, with clouds appearing at low altitudes, especially in the north and center of the kingdom - according to Jordan’s Meteorological Department.

It added that the air mass affecting Jordan will result in scattered showers in the northern regions and parts of the central regions, with brisk northwesterly winds.

Friday night, the weather will be colder with clouds at low altitudes, especially in the north of the kingdom, and moderate northwesterly winds.

During Saturday daytime, the weather will be relatively cold in most areas, leaning towards warmth in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with some clouds at various altitudes and moderate northwesterly winds, according to the Department's forecast.

The weather will be cold at night in most areas, with clouds at various altitudes, especially in the east of the kingdom, and moderate northwesterly winds.

The Meteorological Department warned of the possibility of reduced visibility in the early morning hours due to fog, especially over mountainous areas and plains, and the risk of road slipperiness in rainy areas. It also cautioned against the potential for reduced visibility due to dust in desert regions.
