The most recent weather observations indicate a growing influence of atmospheric instability over Jordan as Tuesday progresses, resulting from the convergence of a surface air depression extending from Saudi Arabia known as the Red Sea Depression and an upper-level cold air mass.
This convergence, coinciding with increased moisture in the atmosphere, creates conditions favorable for thunderstorms and rain showers in various parts of the country during the afternoon and evening hours.
Some of these showers may be intense in localized areas and accompanied by hail, potentially leading to flash floods, particularly in low-lying areas, slopes, valleys, and ravines.
Temperatures are anticipated to drop further on Wednesday, several degrees below average for this time of year. Cold weather will prevail over the high mountainous regions and relatively cold conditions in other areas.
Rain showers are expected, particularly in the northern and central regions, especially during the early morning hours, extending to parts of the southern highlands and eastern regions.
