The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) has confirmed that four of its troops were wounded inside Lebanon, hours after Lebanese political and militant group Hezbollah announced that it had detonated “explosive devices” targeting “Israeli” soldiers who crossed the border into Lebanese territory.

The IOF said the soldiers were wounded overnight in an explosion "in the area of the northern border", but without specifying on which side.

One of the soldiers was “severely injured,” it added.
