King warns of escalation threatening international peace

His Majesty King Abdullah II received Sunday a phone call from British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, where they discussed current developments in the region.

During the conversation, His Majesty the King expressed concerns about the escalating situation in the region, which poses a threat to international peace and security.

King Abdullah reiterated his call for the international community to step up efforts in achieving an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza, aiming to alleviate the deteriorating humanitarian crisis in the area.

He warned about the dangerous consequences of the Israeli Occupation attack on Rafah.

Furthermore, His Majesty emphasized the importance of protecting civilians in Gaza and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to the area.

He also highlighted the necessity of continued support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to enable it to carry out its humanitarian duties in accordance with its UN mandate.
