Abu Obaida, the military spokesperson for Hamas’ military wing, and in his first televised appearance since early march, stated that they will not relinquish the fundamental rights and demands of their people, which are the withdrawal of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), lifting the siege on the Gaza Strip, and the return of displaced Gaza to their homes.

Abu Obaida added that “Israel” is shying away from the ongoing mediated ceasefire negotiations to buy more time, adding that after “200 days since the start of Operation Aqsa Typhoon, the criminal enemy still struggles to salvage its public image and save face.”

Abu Obaida rejected the “Israeli” claims of eliminating and dismantling the Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza, labeling it as “falsehood” - and added that the Israeli Occupation “remains stuck in the sands of Gaza.”

“In 200 days, the enemy has only achieved mass killings, destruction, and murder…they will only reap shame and defeat.”

Abu Obaida warned the “Israeli” people that “time is short and opportunities are few,” in a nod to the families of the “Israeli” captives who are currently held in the Gaza Strip

In response to “Israeli” officials claims that ramping up military pressure on Hamas in Gaza will lead to the release of captives, Abu Obaida said that the “so-called military pressure will only reinforce our steadfastness in maintaining our positions and preserving the rights of our people, refusing to compromise on them.”

Regarding Iran’s massive aerial operation targeting Israel on April 13, Abu Obaida praised the attack, saying that the Iranian response with its size and nature, has set new precedents and disrupted “Israel’s” calculations.
