Palestinian sources on Thursday reported that hundreds of extremist settlers stormed Aqsa Mosque on the third day of the Jewish holiday of Passover.
The Jerusalem Waqf Department confirmed that settlers performed Talmudic prayers within the courtyards of Aqsa Mosque, while Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) prevented Palestinians from remaining there.
The council also noted that 700 settlers and extremists had entered Al Aqsa Mosque from early morning hours on the third day of Passover.
Jewish extremists conducted Talmudic prayers at Bab al-Qattanin, one of the gates of Aqsa Mosque.
