The Highway Patrol Department reported 10 injuries in two different traffic accidents in the past 24 hours in Jordan.
Speaking to the Public Security Department (PSD) Radio, the department’s representative stated that the Al-Mudawwara/Ma'an road witnessed a vehicle rollover accident on Saturday, injuring four individuals who were promptly transported to Ma'an Government Hospital.
Additionally, another rollover accident occurred after Armous intersection towards Zarqa, resulting in six injuries. The injured were transferred to Zarqa Government Hospital - and their condition was described as "moderate."
Both accidents were attributed to loss of control of vehicles.
The Central Traffic Department reported a traffic accident Sunday morning in front of the Roman Amphitheater on Quraish Street, resulting in three moderate injuries. The cause of the accident was sudden lane change.
Regarding speeding violations, the Highway Patrols Department revealed the apprehension of a vehicle traveling at 179 km/h on a road with a speed limit of 100 km/h in Azraq.
Another vehicle was caught speeding between 80 to 180 km/h on the Irbid - Ajloun road, while another was traveling at 195 km/h on the Dead Sea road, designated with a speed limit of 80 km/h, despite continuous warnings.
The department renewed their warnings against committing dangerous violations, emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic laws, avoiding distractions while driving, and refraining from using mobile phones.
