Man dies after falling seven stories in Amman

A 51-year old man fell to his death from the seventh floor of a 7-story building in Wasfi At-Tall Street (Gardens) in Amman - per Lieutenant Mohammad Al-Khatatbeh of the Civil Defense Directorate.

The man was performing maintenance work, after which he fell and died immediately due to the severe injuries sustained - after which civil defense ambulance teams transported him to a hospital, per Al-Khatatbeh.

He added that they dealt with 3,923 medical cases to assist individuals at their locations, securing their transportation to hospitals, responding promptly to 365 rescue incidents, and controlling 456 fires in various governorates of the Kingdom all during the last weekend.

The Civil Defense Directorate warned of the failure to use the appropriate safety equipment and adopting the proper preventive measures while performing maintenance at such heights.
