France has suspended some of its arms exports to the Israeli Occupation since the start of the aggression against the Strip - as reported by French newspaper Le Monde.

After a review of an October 2023 defense exports to “Israel”, France decided to stop sending parts that could be used to make artillery shells.

The decision is part of an overall French strategy to reduce exports to the Israeli Occupation to “the minimum possible” without completely cutting off military ties. Currently, “Israel” only accounts for 0.2 percent of France arms exports - valued at EUR 27 billion.

“With the Israelis, we help each other a little, we sell each other equipment a little, we are close enough to them to know what they do, but at the same time we are competitors,” a source within the French government said to Le Monde.

“And above all, there is a very clear desire on the part of France not to help the operations carried out in Gaza and to take as few risks as possible in arms deliveries,” the source added.
