King Abdullah II extended his congratulations to Jordanians on Labor Day, which is observed on the first Wednesday of May each year.

Through a post on his "X” account (formerly Twitter) he praised the efforts of the nation's workforce, stating, "On Labor Day, I congratulate the sons and daughters of our nation. May God bless your efforts. God willing, we will continue to build and develop our beloved Jordan with your zeal and dedication”

Jordan joins the global community in celebrating Labor Day, recognizing the pivotal role workers play in nation-building and as primary contributors to the production process. This year's celebration coincides with the silver jubilee of King Abdullah II assuming his constitutional powers.

Since taking office, the labor sector under King Abdullah's reign has seen significant advancements and achieved quality milestones in terms of job opportunities, bolstering the national economy, and supporting comprehensive development.

Efforts have also been made to improve work standards, enhance workers' rights, and improve employment conditions.

In his speeches and messages over the years, His Majesty has emphasized the importance of providing job stability and maintaining healthy and safe work environments, particularly highlighting his commitment to this vital segment of society, recognized for its diligence and daily efforts to enhance the nation's prosperity and progress.
