Christians around the world celebrated Easter on Sunday, with celebrations in Jordan and Palestine limited to religious observances due to the ongoing Israeli Occupation aggression on Gaza.

Christian churches celebrate the first day of Easter this Sunday, known as "Resurrection Sunday." Prayers and masses were held on this occasion in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Old Jerusalem, and across various churches in major cities.

The celebration of Easter comes after observing the Easter Triduum, which begins with Maundy Thursday and the foot-washing ceremony, followed by Good Friday and the "Christ's Funeral" service, and finally the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday.

Easter is a significant Christian religious festival, celebrated by Christians who believe and affirm that it marks the time when Jesus, the Prophet of God, rose from the dead three days after his crucifixion. It is believed that he died on the previous Friday, known as “Good Friday,” and rose on Sunday.

“Resurrection Sunday” is the most attended day for church services and prayers, celebrated by Christians in joy for the resurrection of Jesus. It is believed that his crucifixion, death, and resurrection symbolize that he bore sin on behalf of believers, thus securing their redemption.
