Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi condemned the attack that took place against a Jordanian aid convoy bound for Gaza while it was en route to Erez crossing by “radical settlers who again committed their despicable crime unchallenged by Israeli authorities.”
“The Israel govt is fully responsible for the attack…We urge [the Security Council] to act effectively to ensure protection of aid convoys & workers,” Safadi said on his “X” account.

“Instead of giving negotiations on hostage release & ceasefire a chance, Israeli govt occupied Rafah crossing & closed it to humanitarian aid to starved Gazans.”
“Netanyahu must face real consequences.”
Safadi further warned that the looming invasion of the city of Rafah that houses over a million displaced Gaza threatens “another massacre”, urging the UN Security Council to act “firmly and immediately.”
