Weather is expected to significantly change Thursday as a hot air mass is set to surge towards the region, driven by a Khamsin depression anticipated to center east of Libyan territory.
Temperatures will rise, exceeding the general average by 4-6°C, with hot weather across all regions. Temperatures will approach 40°C in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, amid generally hot and dry conditions.
Southwesterly winds will become active as the Khamasin depression approaches Jordan, with strong gusts, especially in the western highlands, the Jordan Valley, and the Dead Sea regions, leading to increased levels of dust in the atmosphere.
Arabia Weather has issued a warning urging residents to be vigilant, particularly those with respiratory and eye conditions, due to high dust concentration and strong winds, especially in areas like Al-Shifa Ghuriya and the Dead Sea.
It was also advised to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, refrain from leaving children unattended in closed vehicles, and avoid leaving any flammable materials inside vehicles for extended periods.
