The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said that a United Nations employee was killed near Gaza European Hospital in Khan Yunis, south Gaza – the statement further claimed that the source of fire is “unknown”.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) said early April that 171 of its employees have been killed during the ongoing “Israeli” aggression against the Gaza Strip.

"As of 25 March, the total number of UNRWA colleagues killed since the beginning of hostilities is 171,” said UNRWA in a statement.

Accusations against UNRWA

An independent review led by the former French foreign minister Catherine Colonna said that “Israel” has yet to provide evidence of employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) being members of the Islamic Resistance Movements (Hamas) - per The Guardian.

The review, which was commissioned by the United Nations after “Israeli” allegations of UNRWA employees’ involvement in “Operation Aqsa Typhoon” on Oct. 7, 2023, found that UNRWA regularly supplied the Israeli Occupation with lists of its employees for evaluation - and that no concerns were raised by the latter regarding any UN employees.

The report, which was drafted with the help of three Nordic research institutes, makes clear that the Israeli Occupation has yet to authenticate any of its claims about the involvement of UNRWA staff in Palestinian resistance movements - Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).

“Israel made public claims that a significant number of Unrwa employees are members of terrorist organizations. However, Israel has yet to provide supporting evidence of this,” the report said.
