Dozens of Christian pilgrims headed to the Baptismal Site of Jesus Christ by the Jordan River to participate in Christian pilgrimage on Friday, 11 January.
The pilgrims attended a special service at the Church of the Baptism of Christ.
Last week on 6 January, many Christians visited the Baptism site to participate in Epiphany celebrations.
The Epiphany, as explained by the BBC, is “an ancient Christian feast day and is significant in a number of ways. In the East, where it originated, the Epiphany celebrates the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist in the River Jordan. It also celebrates Jesus' birth.”
Below is a video from the Baptism site earlier this morning.
