Government: There are no secret financial settlements, we work transparently
There are no financial settlements happening behind closed doors, said the Minister of Finance, Mohamad al-Ississ, during a press conference on Monday.
The government works transparently in front of the public, he said.
Tax and customs evasion are crimes against the country and its citizens, said al-Ississ, adding the government has attempted to even out the tax burden for Jordanians, despite other countries choosing to raise taxes as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
