Tuesday, the Minister of Education Muhammad Abu Qdais told Roya that he hopes that education will be in-person next semester. However, if the COVID-19 situation remains the same, he said 'different arrangements' will be made.

During the inauguration of computer centers in the Balama district in Mafraq, Abu Qdais said these arrangements are related to the effectiveness of the ministy's online learning platforms Darsak One and Darsak Two.

The aim is to guarantee that students will benefit from the distance learning just as much as they would from in-person learning.

He pointed out that the aim of the visit was to inpect schools' readiness in terms of infrastructure and laboratories. Other goals include enabling students to sit for exams who were unable to due to the unavailability of devices or weakness of Internet connection.

Abu Qdais explained that the ministry listened to the demands of Mafraq's education directors and school principals, stressing that they dealt with issues such as lack of computer laboratories, overcrowding in classrooms and limited classrooms.

He noted that the ministry continues to look into and respond to their demands.
