The Slovenian Ministry of Health announced Wednesday the end of the coronavirus state of emergency in the country, and confirmed that vaccination campaigns will continue.

Cultural and sports events will be able to reopen at 75 percent capacity for those who have been vaccinated, tested negative or recovered from the virus.

However, some health restrictions will remain in force, such as wearing face masks indoors in public and maintaining a safe distance from others.

The Health Ministry said that more than 769,000 residents received one dose of different vaccines against the coronavirus, while around 552,000 people are fully vaccinated.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Slovenia has confirmed 256,701 cases and 4,409 deaths.
