Thursday, local authorities in charge of following up on compliance with defense orders among individuals and establishments in ight of the coronavirus pandemic issued 767 fines for facilities.
Violations include 164 for non-compliance with work protocols, and 492 for workers not wearing face masks and lack of social distancing in facilities.
Among those fined are 53 household and electrical appliances stores, 83 coffee shops, 41 restaurants, 49 clothing stores and 395 supermarkets.
According to a press release by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply Thursday, teams of regulatory authorities conducted approximately 36,839 inspections between June 1 and June 22 across the Kingdom.
Additionally, 265 individuals were fined for non-compliance with health and safety measures including wearing face masks and social distancing.
The ministry stressed the need to adhere to social distancing measures, wearing face masks and other health protocols, especially as sectors are reopening.
