Amman's governor decided Friday to arrest a young man who threatened to throw himself off the top of Abdoun Bridge.
The young man will be referred to the Public Prosecutor.
A source close to the investigation told Roya that the 29-year-old man demanded the presence of the Minister of Labor to find a job for him.
Security services were able to convince the young man to refrain from throwing himself after being present at the site for three hours.

In April 2022, Jordan approved an amendment that imprisons those who attempt to commit suicide in a public place for a period not exceeding six months and a fine of no more than JD 100, or one of these two penalties. The penalty will be doubled if it was a ‘mass suicide.’
This came less than four days after a woman's body was found under the Abdoun Bridge, according to the Public Security Directorate (PSD).
