The director of the Jordanian Seismological Observatory Ghassan Sweidan reported that Wadi Araba experienced three natural earthquakes Monday, each registering between 2 and 2.3 on the Richter scale.

He assured that these quakes went unnoticed by the local populace.

Sweidan told Roya that Jordan's seismic events are regular and ongoing, emphasizing that they remain within the normal spectrum and have no adverse effects on infrastructure.

Addressing any potential link between high temperatures and seismic occurrences, Sweidan clarified that there is no correlation between the two phenomena.

He explained that earthquakes are influenced by internal geological factors within the earth's structure.

Underscoring continuous monitoring of seismic activity, Sweidan emphasized that forecasting the exact timing, location, and magnitude of earthquakes before their occurrence remains unfeasible.
