The Jordan Seismological Observatory has reported a 3.4-magnitude earthquake occurring in Wadi Araba, near Bir Mathkour.

According to their data, the earthquake occurred precisely at 8:29 AM local time in Amman.

It registered a magnitude of 3.4 on the Richter scale and originated at a depth of 10 km.

The epicenter was situated to the west of the village of Bir Mathkour.

The director of the observatory Ghassan Sweidan characterized the tremor as ranging from weak to moderate.

He emphasized that the event went unnoticed by individuals, with no reports of anyone having felt it.
