The Ministry of Social Development announced that the Anti-Vagrancy Department conducted 300 campaigns to combat begging during the month of August, resulting in the apprehension of 648 beggars.

Tuesday, the ministry released its report for August, highlighting the services provided, as well as its supervisory visits across various regions of Jordan.

The ministry provided cash and other types of assistance to 9,933 families.

The affiliated directorates in different districts conducted 808 visits.

They processed 8,145 cases related to social studies for the purpose of providing health insurance to impoverished families, and 184 cases for exemption from medical treatment expenses.

Additionally, 61 cases were handled for the settlement of heirs' rights.

The ministry licensed four nurseries and issued warnings to two others with the aim of improving daycare services for children.

The ministry also admitted five elderly individuals to elderly care homes and 35 children to residential care centers.

It received 18 applications for the admission of elderly individuals to elderly care homes and conducted 196 studies for juveniles at youth rehabilitation centers.

Furthermore, through social service offices, 556 studies were conducted for juveniles, along with three studies for the inclusion of individuals with disabilities.

According to the National Aid Fund's work report, 1,035 families benefited from emergency financial aid programs.

Additionally, 313 families benefited from the monthly recurring aid program and 51 families benefited from the physical rehabilitation aid program.

Moreover, 25 individuals from beneficiary families benefited from the vocational training support program.

The Support and Assistance Center at the fund received 13,681 calls and complaints, with a response rate of 88 percent.

The number of monthly recurring financial aid transfers for 79,116 families, and supplementary monthly financial aid (complementary aid) reached 16,629 families.

The transfers for unified cash support amounted to 121,392.
