The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) succeeded in apprehending an individual who stole JD 50,000 a vehicle in Irbid.

The official spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced Tuesday that a person filed a complaint Monday regarding the loss of a sum of money from inside his car in Irbid.

He stated that after thorough investigations and meticulous searches by the CID, it was revealed that the thief stole the amount from inside the vehicle while deceiving its owner.

The thief's identity was determined, and he was apprehended, with a portion of the stolen amount being recovered.

The PSD urged everyone not to leave large sums of money inside vehicles under any circumstances.

Additionally, they advised citizens and residents not to consider a vehicle a secure place for storing or leaving money, in order to avoid theft incidents and property manipulation.
