The Dead Sea Road is currently witnessing a severe traffic jam, coinciding with calls from citizens, youth movements, and political parties to head towards the Jordan Valley to gather and protest against the Israeli Occupation's massacres in Gaza and its incursions into West Bank cities.

Sources informed Roya that the security forces have closed the road leading to the Dead Sea and border areas to prevent the protesters from reaching their destination.

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) issued a statement emphasizing its commitment to maintaining the safety of citizens and protecting public property. It affirmed the implementation of instructions regarding gatherings and ensuring the safety of participants.

The PSD stated that it will continue its work according to security plans to ensure compliance with issued orders and instructions, especially concerning the designation of gathering sites.

It strongly emphasized the prohibition of any gatherings in border areas or any locations that may disrupt aspects of life or pose a danger to citizens.

The PSD also reaffirmed its full commitment to preserving the rights of citizens and enabling them to express their opinions peacefully and in accordance with the law.
