The director of the orthopedic department at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Adnan Al-Birsh, stated that Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have imposed an absolute siege on the Indonesian hospital using vehicles and soldiers.

Birsh told Roya that there is intense gunfire from IOF towards the hospital, noting that IOF aircraft directly bombed the second floor of the hospital.

He pointed out that there are about a thousand displaced people in the hospital, including patients, injured individuals, and medical staff, amid the absence of electricity, water, and food.

He clarified that there is no functioning hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, and all of them are out of service due to a lack of resources.

Birsh mentioned that the Red Cross transported two buses of patients to hospitals in the southern part of the Strip, especially since a large number of patients require surgical operations and urgent medical intervention.
