Save the Children, an international non-profit organization, verified that a minimum of 10 children experience the loss of their legs daily in the Gaza Strip. This tragic reality unfolds amidst the backdrop of the Israeli Occupation aggression that has persisted since October 7 of last year.

The organization stated in an official statement on its website that reports from the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) indicate that 1,000 children in Gaza have lost one or both of their legs since the beginning of the Israeli Occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip.

The organization pointed out in its statement that most of the surgeries performed on children were done without anesthesia, highlighting the lack of medical staff and necessary medical equipment in the Strip.

Jason Lee, the organization's coordinator in Palestine, said that the suffering of children in this aggression is “unimaginable.”

The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 22,835 martyrs since the start of the aggression on October 7, with more than 70 percent of them being women and children. The number of injuries has reached approximately 58,316, in addition to 7,000 people still missing under the rubble.

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continue their aggression on the Gaza Strip for the ninety-fourth day, bombing the north, center, and south of the Gaza Strip, increasing the number of martyrs and wounded. The death toll has risen to 22,835, and the injured to 58,416 since the start of the aggression, according to the latest toll.
