Manchester City's head coach, Pep Guardiola, has downplayed his team's chances of clinching the English Premier League title this season.
Despite being in contention with Liverpool and Arsenal, sitting third with 67 points, Guardiola remains cautious about City's prospects.
With Liverpool and Arsenal neck and neck at the top with 67 and 68 points, respectively, Guardiola emphasized that City cannot afford to slip up. After City's impressive 4-1 victory over Aston Villa on Wednesday, Guardiola stated, "The leaders are the ones most likely to win the tournament. There are two teams ahead of City and they must lose points."
Guardiola stressed the importance of focusing on winning upcoming matches rather than worrying about the results of other teams. Reflecting on the recent goalless draw against Arsenal, Guardiola acknowledged the missed opportunity to seize the lead and disrupt one of their rivals' momentum.
