Jordan's Traffic Department highlighted Monday that tailgating, sudden lane switches, and speeding are the key causes of road accidents in Amman in the past 24 hours.

Amen FM relayed that traffic personnel dealt with two accidents in Amman this morning, resulting in material damage and traffic slowdowns.

Captain Ayman Al-Harahsheh of the Highway Patrol Department stated that 12 individuals were injured in three rollover and collision incidents across Jordan in the last 24 hours. A collision at 8:30 AM Tuesday on the way to Ramtha resulted in five injuries.

Additionally, a vehicle rollover on the Desert Highway caused two moderate injuries, with victims transported to Ma'an Government Hospital. Another collision in the As-Swaqa area resulted in five moderate injuries, with the injured taken to Karak Government Hospital.

Al-Harahsheh noted the accidents were primarily due to failure to observe traffic safety precautions, sudden lane changes, and improper handling of turns.

Highway Patrol Department's statement emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic rules and avoiding dangerous violations.
