The Grand Criminal Court issued a verdict against a grocery store owner charged with indecently assaulting an eight-year-old girl inside his shop.

In a public session, the court decided to sentence the accused to eight years of temporary labor for the crime of indecent assault, as per Article 299 of the Penal Code.

According to the court's findings, the victim visited the defendant's grocery store to buy cooking cream at her mother's request. Upon entering, the defendant began touching the girl inappropriately.

After the incident, the girl returned home and informed her mother about what had occurred, leading to a complaint being filed against the accused.
