A Hamas official has stated that the movement's delegation will leave for Doha from Cairo today, after the recent round of mediated Gaza ceasefire negotiations with the Israeli Occupation has come to an end - according to Agence France-Presse (AFP).

"The meeting with the Egyptian intelligence minister has ended and the Hamas delegation is leaving for Doha for further consultations," said the official to AFP, who is close to the negotiations, requesting anonymity as he was not authorized to publicly discuss the talks.

Earlier today, a source from Hamas told CBS that the negotiation round held did not make progress, with a new round scheduled for later on Sunday.

Hamas emphasized the need to review some clauses and requested amendments, in addition to obtaining guarantees for the agreement's implementation in writing.

The points of contention are limited to the issue of invading Rafah and ending the war permanently, which the “Israeli” side strongly opposes.

An “Israeli” official accused Hamas of obstructing the achievement of a truce agreement in Gaza, stating that reports of “Israel” agreeing to end the war were inaccurate.
