A delegation from Hamas is due to leave for Gaza truce talks in Cairo – said a Hamas official to Agence France-Presse (AFP).

The official warned that it would be the Israeli Occupation’s last chance to release the captives held in the Gaza Strip.

“This will be the last chance for [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu and the families of the Zionist prisoners to return their children,” he said.

Earlier today, Hamas announced the death of the “Israeli” captive Judith Weinstein, 70 years old, after injuries sustained by “Israeli” bombing that targeted the facility where she and another captive were held in a month ago – a statement said on the official telegram channel of their military spokesperson Abu Obaida.

“[Judith Weinstein] later succumbed to her injuries due to a lack of intensive medical care in care facilities, as the enemy destroyed hospitals in the Gaza Strip, rendering them out of service” – according to Abu Obaida

The deceased captive was previously injured in the events of Oct. 7, 2023 where she later received treatment by Hamas in Gaza’s hospitals. After her recovery, she was returned to her place of detention – the statement added.
