Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh delivered a verbal message from His Majesty King Abdullah II to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi during a meeting at the Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo on Thursday morning.
The message conveyed His Majesty's greetings and best wishes to President Al-Sisi, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and its people for continued strength, progress, and prosperity.
It emphasized the deep historical ties between the two countries and the commitment to strengthening them across all areas.
The message highlighted the joint efforts of Jordan and Egypt towards an immediate and permanent end to Israeli Occupation aggression in Gaza, as well as the need for sustained humanitarian aid to Palestinians. It also emphasized the rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank.
Both President Al-Sisi and Prime Minister Al-Khasawneh reiterated the importance of Egyptian and Jordanian diplomacy in working towards a two-state solution for peace and stability in the region, with an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Prime Minister thanked Egypt for its mediation efforts to secure prisoner exchanges, a lasting ceasefire, and humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza.
President Al-Sisi conveyed his regards to His Majesty King Abdullah II and wished him good health, prosperity, and further progress for Jordan.
He emphasized the close fraternal relations between Egypt and Jordan and their continuous coordination on various common interests, particularly the Palestinian issue.
The meeting was attended by Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly and Jordanian Ambassador to Cairo Amjad Al-Adaileh.
